Update

I've been exercising nearly every day now since Dec 27. I weighed 230. This morning I weighed in at 224.2! Pretty much 6lbs gone in only 2 weeks! I feel fantastic. Here's a progress comparison:
I am amazed at the difference in the size of my abdomen.
Here's a visual of what 5 and more pounds of fat look like.
Since I have lost over 5 pounds I guess the difference in my belly really should not be that astonishing. In total now though I have lost over 40lbs.
 Now, I am going to try my best to not weigh myself again until Feb 3 now, so that'll be my next update.
