Starting point.

When I first met my husband, I was around 180lbs. That's an OK weight for being 5'10". I felt good about myself then, attractive and confident. Then during my first pregnancy I gained a lot of weight and could not shed it after. Then we had a second baby and I gained even more weight. In the summer of 2016 I weighed 260lbs. That's EIGHTY pounds I gained in 4 years.
I was not proud of this. I'm still not. My husband was worried about my health. I was worried about my health. Thankfully, I did not have any health problems except for the weight, though I was exhausted from my 8 hour shifts at work, standing on my feet the whole time. It did not help that I stress ate, or stress drank alcohol. Did you know beer has a lot of calories?
So, queue third pregnancy. I promised myself that after this baby I would work my butt off to lose the weight again.
Morning sickness. With my first two babies I had virtually no morning sickness. I felt queasy all the time, but I never actually threw up. But this third pregnancy? I lost 15 lbs within the first four months, and yes my morning sickness lasted up until I was 16 weeks. My doctor was a little worried about that, but I was overweight to begin with so things were OK. I really watched my diet this time and only gained 20lbs. Within the first month after delivery, that 20 lbs was gone and I was working hard to lose more: I ended up losing 40lbs in total.
I tried AdvoCare. It's only in the States right now but an online friend of mine who uses it sent me the 24 Day Challenge. Using it, I lost 10lbs and several inches.
Then my husband went back to work and we had a few stressful months. By the end of summer I had gained back 20lbs. I decided to go back to work at the beginning of November, and I wanted to lose some more weight before I went back. So I saw a dietitian. I changed my diet again. Cut beer out in exchange for vodka (which has WAY less calories than beer) and especially the Smirnoff Ice sweetened with Splenda. I stopped stress drinking though. And instead of stress eating bad food I opted for better ones.
It's been a month and I have already lost 7lbs.
I also wanted to try the TruVision Dietary Supplement. Two pills twice a day. truControl and truFix. I started it today, October 26 2017, weighing 238lbs.
Last night I only got around 5 hours of sleep. So this morning these pills were pretty much a life saver. I did not feel as tired as I should have during the day, and I even managed a 3km walk with all three kids in the evening. I also did not really have any cravings today like usual--I have been really craving chocolate lately.
I wanted to compare the TruVision with Le-Vel's Thrive, which I had been taking in the early spring. I liked the Thrive, it was two pills in the morning before breakfast, or you could have one at breakfast and the other at lunch I believe. They did help. I also used the Derma-technology patch thing they have, but I didn't really notice a difference. I might try them again since I still have some.
Price wise, Thrive was more inexpensive for a month's supply: around 100CAD. TruVision was around 70CAD for a two weeks supply. I might buy another two weeks if I see a good amount of weight loss after these first two weeks, but then I think I will go back to Thrive afterwards.
I have been drinking the Glucerna Meal Replacement drinks. They are sweetened with Splenda, and  I really like the chocolate one. Also the meal replacement bars, the chocolate and peanut butter, sweetened with Splenda as well is also good. I have also been having the Boost Nutritional Beverage. Sometimes I will only replace one meal a day, but other days where I don't feel as hungry in the evening I will have them. Lunch is usually a good meal.
At least I fit back into my original work pants from when I first started working two years ago. My wedding ring is annoyingly lose too, but I won't be able to wear it at work since it has a stone in it, so that will start to feel weird again. I really wanted to get a ring tattoo, so I think that once I hit 199lbs that will be my reward. Then once I get to 175lbs I'll get that Lord of the Rings tattoo I've been wanting.
I'll let you know how my second day of TruVision goes tomorrow night after the kids are to bed. A hot bath is calling me.
